Fat Bike Rentals at Panorama Mountain

April 21, 20262 min read

Looking for a unique way to explore the winter landscape at Panorama? Fat biking is a fantastic way to enjoy the mountain scenery while getting a great workout. These bikes feature ultra-wide tires designed to "float" over the snow, providing a stable and fun riding experience.

Rental Location & 2025/2026 Pricing

Fat bike rentals are available through the Panorama Nordic Centre, located inside the Greywolf Clubhouse (right next to Lone Wolf Chalet).

2025/2026 Rental Packages (Includes Bike, Helmet, and Trail Pass):

  • Adult (13+): $45 (Half-Day) | $75 (Full Day)

  • Junior: $34 (Half-Day) | $56 (Full Day)

  • Additional Days: $60/day (Adult) | $45/day (Junior)

  • Trail Only (If you have your own bike): $10 (Half-Day) | $15 (Full Day)

Note: Due to the technical nature of the groomed trails, rentals are typically recommended for riders with intermediate mountain biking experience.

Where to Ride

The Nordic Centre manages over 20km of groomed trails.

  • Shared Trails: Fat bikes are permitted on shared-use trails including Village, Cotton Tail, McGillivray Lake, and Raven Return.

  • Trail Etiquette: To keep the trails in top shape for everyone, fat bikers should stay on the firmest part of the trail (the skating lane) and avoid the deep tracks set for classic cross-country skiers.

  • Condition Tip: If the snow is too soft (if you're leaving a rut deeper than an inch), it's best to stick to the paved roads around the resort to protect the trail base.

Contact Information

  • Phone: (250) 341-3090 (Nordic Centre at Greywolf)

  • Email: [email protected]

  • Operating Hours: Typically 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM during the winter season.

A Tip for Lone Wolf Chalet Guests:

Since the Nordic Centre is located in the Greywolf Clubhouse, you are only steps away from starting your adventure. You can pick up your rentals and be on the trails in minutes, then head back to the chalet to warm up by the fire!
