For those who stand at the top of the Summit Quad and look toward the rugged, untouched peaks of the Taynton Bowl, there is a certain pull. It’s the call of the "deep and steep"—the legendary Monster terrain.

But let’s be honest: while we all love the reward of a fresh line, the 20-minute hike out to the furthest reaches of the bowl can be a leg-burner before the real fun even starts. Enter Monster X: Panorama’s high-altitude snowcat shuttle designed to help you lap the best terrain on the mountain without the heavy lifting.

The Experience: Not Your Average Shuttle

It’s important to know that Monster X isn't a guided heli-tour; it's a rugged, efficient shuttle service for the bold. The cat cycles from the Never Never Land entrance on Outback Ridge and whisks a dozen powder hunters at a time up to the Goldie Plateau in just 10 minutes.

From the drop-off point, the mountain is your playground. You’ll have instant access to:

• The Monster: A massive, steep face that holds snow beautifully.

• Spectre & Stash: Perfectly spaced glades for those who love "tree-dancing."

• Paranormal & Yeti: Newer additions to the map that offer raw, big-mountain energy.

Panorama has moved to an online-first pricing model this year. To get the best deal, you’ll want to grab your tickets through the resort app before you even leave the chalet.

2025/2026 Operating Hours

• Days: Thursday to Sunday (Snow conditions and temperatures permitting).

• Hours: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

• Holiday Access: Additional service is typically provided on holiday Mondays (e.g., Family Day).

• Note: Service may be delayed or cancelled due to extreme cold or snow safety work in Taynton Bowl.

Note: Single ride and 4-pack tickets are transferable and valid for the entire season—if you don't use them today, save them for your next trip! To purchase tickets go to the Panorama Mountain Resort online store.

Private Monster X Experience

Looking for an incredible day with friends? You can now book a Private Cat for up to 12 people. Available Monday–Wednesday, this gives your group exclusive access to the cat from 10 AM to 3 PM to lap the Taynton Bowl as much as you want!

Accessing the Terrain

You are always welcome to hike or ski tour out to the Monster terrain for free (with a valid lift ticket), but the Monster X makes it much easier to maximize your vertical feet in a day.
